GOVERNING BODY OF
THE CITY OF HAMLIN, TEXAS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A REGULAR CALLED MEETING OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE ABOVE-NAMED CITY WILL BE HELD ON THE 21st of JANUARY 2025, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE HAMLIN INDEPENDENT COLLEGIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 250 S W AVENUE F, HAMLIN, JONES COUNTY, TEXAS AT WHICH TIME THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS WILL BE DISCUSSED:

Call Meeting to order, Invocation and Pledges.
Roll Call
III. Open Forum-Person who sign in between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM will be allowed not
more than five minutes each to speak to the Council.
*General comments from visitors who have signed up to address the Council.

V. ACTION ITEMS
1. Take appropriate action on the minutes from the previous Regular Meeting on December 16, 2024.
2. Consider and take any necessary action on adopting Resolution No. 25-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAMLIN, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE CITY OF HAMLIN INVESTMENT POLICY ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT “A”; DECLARING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS COMPLETED ITS REVIEW OF THE INVESTMENT POLICY AND INVESTMENT STRATEGIES OF THE CITY AND THAT EXHIBIT “A” RECORDS ANY CHANGES TO EITHER THE INVESTMENT POLICY OR INVESTMENT STRATEGIES; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
3. Lance Flores from Hilltop Securities to present information on Municipal Investment funds.
4. Consider and take any necessary action on approval of TexSTAR Investment Pool as an Authorized Investment.
5. Consider and take any necessary action on approval of LOGIC Pool as an Authorized Investment.
6. Consider and take any necessary action on retention incentive pay for Interim Police Chief Chris Levens.
The Council may convene into executive session pursuant to Government Code Section
551.074, Personnel Matters. If an executive session is held, the Council may take action
upon convening back into open session.
7. Consider and take any necessary action on Order of Election for a Regular Election on May 3, 2025, for electing three (3) council members for a two-year term and electing one (1) council member for an unexpired term.
8. Consider and take any necessary action on hiring an equipment operator.
9. Consider and take any necessary action to reallocate funds from Fire Department bungalow sale towards Fire Department line-item equipment.
10. Consider and take any necessary action to approve the Lease Agreement between the City of Hamlin and Vero.
11. Consider and take any necessary action to approve the Lease Agreement between the City of Hamlin and Tiffany Gaa Baker.
12. Discussion on quarterly annual review.
13. Consider and take any necessary action concerning payment of City Bills.

I, the undersigned authority, do certify that the above named notice Meeting of the Governing Body of the above named City of Hamlin is a true and correct copy of said Notice and that I posted a true and correct said Notice on the bulletin board in the Police Department and on the front door of City Hall of said City of Hamlin, Texas, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times and said Notice was posted on January 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM and remained posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.
